"She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple."
A Proverbs 31 woman made her own linen and furniture coverings and she made them well, to be beautiful and decorative for her husband. I crochet. I don't really follow patterns because I have not learned to read one, but eventually I will teach myself. However, I can do stripes of various colors. I just finished a large queen sized blanket of southwestern colors, a theme I picked out with my husband in mind. There is something so fulfilling knowing that the blanket keeping him warm at night was handmade by me! Of course this doesn't mean you have to learn to knit or quilt or crochet, though those are very good skills to have, it simply means to make the bedroom beautiful. Whatever budget you have, work within it to create an inviting and eye pleasing space for your husband.
As for the line about clothing, I am learning to sew. It is something that makes me happy. I actually made my first dress the other day. It was the first time I worked with knit and the hem is a bit quirky, but...I'm learning :) Again, there is something very satisfying about making something all on your own, but if sewing isn't an option...just focus on looking nice, modest - pretty and appropriate. I love diving in the racks of Ross and buying up dresses for $12.99! Looking nice doesn't have to be expensive, but it does take some work. Of course, I am sick right now and I am sitting at the computer hacking and coughing with unbrushed hair, but hey, its a work in progress! Let's face it though, ladies. God made men visual. They like for us to look nice for them, so let's dig in and make that happen. Put on a pretty dress, do a little something with that hair, dab on some make up, splash on a pretty scent...then watch the reaction you get :) Your husband will really appreciate it!
